As my friend said, it’s a wonderful feeling when you are nominated for your first blogging award.
Maybe you ask yourself why. You share not only your own feelings that you experience when visiting the countries that you love, but you share with a whole community all around the world travel tips and guidelines that help you continue what you love to do.
Actually it’s wonderful when you know that this award is given by fellow bloggers and thousands of us for your first year of blogging, where there is your work and your own experience.
So I want to give my special thanks to Clive Andrades and wherenexttravels.com for the opportunity that Fairytale Traveller (Călător de Poveste) – www.fairytaletraveller.com had, to be known by all of you.
Here are the Questions and Answers (a short interview) that Clive gave me:
►How would you describe your traveling style? (Ex: budget friendly or make no compromises)
My website was at first my full time job that I was doing for the National Tourism Television in Romania – Fairytale Traveller was a 50 minutes TV Show that presented the best places to spend your holidays in Romania and abroad. So after finishing this project for television, because I loved it so much and I felt in love with travelling, I wanted to continue and to do more. That’s how Fairytale Traveller website came to light. I would describe my travelling style sometimes friendly, sometimes making compromises, because like any other travel lover, you know that sometimes you need investment to do what you like. The local travels that I had in my country were budget friendly, I can’t say the same thing about travelling abroad. All it depends on your period of travelling and what type of offers you find – starting with plane tickets and finishing with accommodation.
►What is your long term plan with travel blogging?
I am happy you asked me this question, because in time I would like to transform Fairytale Traveller in a ful time job, maybe opening my own travel agency or why not, PR company for travel agencies – selling the best ideas while travelling and sharing with all the people who love to travel, the best ways to develop themrselves personally and professionally while knowing the history of other cultures and the beautiful traditions of the places they visit.
► What are some places you would like visit but can’t due to current political situations?
From impassable terrains to unstable political situations to strict visa regulations, there are some places on Earth that for me is quite hard to het to, and in the same time there are unsafe conditions because you don’t knot what might happen. I would love to go to Tunisia, Egypt, India and New Zealand. There are on my list, but hard to access.
► What hobbies do you have outside of traveling?
I love swimming, reading, television is still one of my biggest passions and I love yachting, one of the sports I have practiced when I was younger.
► What or where is your next travel destination or trip?
My next destination I believe it will be Malta, I love the beaches, the landscapes, the warm weather and the beautiful attractions that I can’t to write about.
► What is your favourite travel dish and where can we go eat it?
My favourite travel dish is Paella and the best Paella I ate was in Algarve, Portugal. The fish restaurants that you find on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean are the best to try.
► What are the top 5 places are on your bucket list?
My top 5 places on my bucket list are: New York, Canary Islands, Thailand, Cancun and Kenya.
► How do you finance your travels?
I personally finance my travels and I also have partnerships with different travel agencies.
► What was the best experience that you had while traveling?
One of the best experiences that I had was visiting four countries in a single trip. Going on a Cruise is the best way to unpack your luggage just once and to discover beautiful holiday destinations.
►How did you come up with your blog name?
As I said, my website was my 50 minutes TV show produced for the National Tourism Television in Romania. When I first came up with this name I thought about fairytale places and unknown facts that someone would stay to watch on TV. When I said „fairytale”, I actually thought about stories and destinies of people that you only meet once in a lifetime. Because those who do not travel, read only a page from the whole story that is called LIFE. 🙂
My nominees are:
Which is your favorite thing about travelling?
How can you learn about a culture and meet locals without speaking their language when travelling?

What are your personal experiences (and/or other long-term travelers’) with the difficulties you met while travelling abroad?
