They love to travel in far away and different lands compared with our country. They never stayed in luxury hotels, but in modest hostels where they felt great. When you look at them they seem to have a bohemian air, but when you talk to them drinking a hot tea in the heart of the mountains, you discover the spirit of adventure inside them … that adventure that carries you among stories, legends and mastery of the well-done work at home or away from home.
Their very own name tells a story that you need to know, find it from the locals, or simply discover it yourself on the way, climbing the mountains or discovering their beauty.
I did not plan a trip to Bucegi Mountains, although I wanted to see them for some time. Because such a hike is not planned, it is done.
Every time you discover and visit new places I am sure you experience new feelings. I believe travelling is about feelings, right? What makes you go on or what makes you come back to that place? The people? The climate? The surroundings? The attractions of the area? Every place has something unique to discover.
If I would choose to write about the places full of history and spirituality throughout the world, my editorial space wouldn’t be enough. I will probably need dozens of pages to describe in words the architectural beauty and the fascinating stories of Canterbury Cathedral. Surely you will not regret to leave behind the commercial and modern attractions for history, because the time does not know how to leave a mark on it. At least not here. Not in Cantebury.
Stories among waters
Starting from Murighiol to Saint George town, travelling through all the channels of the Danube Delta by boat, you feel how time stops for a moment and reconfigures the past. Then, slowly, you add to the past new elements of modernity, offering other view to the wild channels, to the locals and to the ancient traditions. The Danube Delta is a story that should be lived from sunrise, once with the first glimpses of light in the morning, till sunset.
